Something I wrote today for my after school writing club, Quills. Our prompt was to write a fairy tale from the POV of someone other than the main character. So, I chose Cinderella, and the Fairy Godmother. This was a lot of fun to write, and I hope you all enjoy! And that it maybe makes you giggle. :D

Cinderella belongs to the brother's grim originally, and Disney more recently. In any case, I don't own it. I do however, own this parody.

Then post them in your LJ and explain what they mean to you." Of course, commenting with "words!" will probably work better than actually yelling, but by all means yell if you want to. :)


-Student

Ahh, my occupation for the last ten years. During which I've gone from loving it to hating it to liking it somewhat. Really, though, being a 'student' is an occupation that I don't think will ever end. We're forever learning, and in that sense will forever be students. Thank goodness we don't have to be in High School forever, though.

- Pen

My weapon of choice, figurtively, and somewhat literally. I love writing, and pens are symbolic for that. They are also great for taking quick notes on my hand. For the literal bit, I now consider a pen a weapon ever sicne I saw 'The Bourne Identity'.

- Left

For a long time I really really wanted to be left-handed. My best friend was left handed, and I wanted to be even more like her (we used to joke that we were twins). Later, we were informed by a teacher that left handed people use the right side of their brains, while right handed people use the left. So, I'm never in my right mind.

....This explains a lot.


- Change

My dad always said that the only thing you can count on in life is that things will change. In just a few years I have changed greatly- going from depressed and too quiet, with low self esteem, crappy friends, and a lot of built-up anger, to being happy and having great friends. Not that everything is perfect, but I am more confident in myself and all that I do. It was pointless of me to keep wishing for things to go back to 'the way they used to be', because they couldn't. As in FMA, life can't go backwards.

- Writing

Tied in to 'the pen being mighter than the sword'. I've always loved stories and reading, any kind of story so long as it was good. To me, I write mostly for myself, because it is what I love. And yet I also feel that a large reason I want to get published is because if I can get my books out there, and touch just one life, I will truly be a writer worth my words.

Okay, I am REALLY weirded out here.

The other day, the final bell had just rung at school, and I was walking with my boyfriend in the hall to get outside. The hall, as always, was super crowded, so it was slow going. From right directly behind us, there comes a slight shriek. This isn't odd, the hall always has noises like that. But then, her scream of startlement turns into a scream of something...else.

She sounded like she was having an orgasm. Seriously. She was panting and moaning, and going 'oh yes'- RIGHT BEHIND ME AND MY BOYFRIEND. And no one was doing anything to her- she was just going at it. After about a full minute she stopped, and my boyfriend and I made a break for it through a gap that opened up in the hallway, both very surprised to say the least.

My boyfriend looks at me and goes: "So I guess that would be hallway porn, huh?"

*Rolls eyes and giggles*

Still, extremely weird.

Well, I'm here to post a Clerith fic because I haven't in a while, but I also have a question. With so many posting icons here lately, I started thinking that maybe I'd like to try my hand at it. This is...wow...I need to think for a while...


So many stars are dying lately- David Carradine, Micheal Jackson, Farrah, even Billy Mays. And now Patrick Swayze?

It's almost like we have a star epidemic on our hands. And they're not going from Swine Flu.

I'm pretty sure my English teacher dislikes me. Which really sucks, because I'm the oddball that loves English class. *Sigh* Ah well. I guess I'll just have to keep doing my best.

I hung out with some friends at the local go-kart/lasertag/mini-golf place night before last- 'twas fun, that was. I had to borrow my best friend's jacket because I was wearing a white shirt, and acted like a beacon during laser tag. My go-kart ran out of gas on my last lap too. I had to be pushed the rest of the way by the owners. (It wasn't far, but I was sad because before the kart stopped, I'd been just about to overtake someone on the track). Then we played Mini-golf. We all weren't that good, and in fact we cheated quite frequently (in our defense, we had to hurry up because the place was closing in about ten minutes). Though, according to my boyfriend, I 'kick put-put ass'. Well, it's nice to know where my strength lies, I guess. If becoming an author falls out, this means that I could always become a put-put champion!! XD

We were all going to get together today too, and go swimming in the creek behind my house, but the wind has arrived with a vengence, and the clouds are a'rollin, so who knows what will happen now. I looked at a few spoiler pages for the next FMA chapter, looks good. I also just watched the RAW of ep 23 of brotherhood- the promise in all it's glory, very nice. Plus Ling coming out from the manhole cover- very very nice.

I have a history report I ought to finish writing, but I only need to get in about a hundred more words, so it should be pretty easy. I just hope my views on my subject isn't too brash or controversial. (Get me going on religion and crazy things can happen- no offense intended to anyone, ever).

Also, I've been informed that I am being dragged to go see 'New Moon' when it comes out with my sister. Joy.

I need to get more driving hours in if I'm ever going to get used to it. I'm sixteen now (As of only a month, woot!) but I got my permit so late, I won't be getting my license until January. I have soccer practice tomorrow after school again, to get ready for our upcoming home game.

Two and a half hours of practice + the desert heat + the gnats + the wind+ the blisters on my feet= not a fun practice. But, on a happier note, we won both out games on thursday, 3-0. I don't like my coach much, but what can ya do.

I need to get some writing done, I think I'm having withdrawls... 

Also, I found a beetle crawling on my arm this morning while in bed, after waking up and lying there for a few minutes. Methinks its time to change the sheets.
